Final 1,000 kits to street sleepers in Islamabad

The Story

As temperatures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi drop below freezing, hundreds of people sleeping on the streets face deadly cold every night.

Each winter kit includes a thick wool blanket, warm clothing and a pair of socks — small comforts that can save a life on a freezing night.

Help us reach 5,000 people before the coldest weeks of the year. No one should freeze to death for the want of a blanket.

Proof of Use

Campaign runners submit receipts and photos as funds are spent. Every update is reviewed and approved by Apnaiyat before it appears here — so you always know exactly where your rupees went.

2,000 winter kits distributed at I-8 Markaz camp

Our volunteers distributed 2,000 blanket kits at the Islamabad camp near I-8 Markaz. Each kit contained a thick wool blanket, a jacket and socks. Distribution was complete before midnight. Receipts from the supplier and distribution photos are uploaded.

Second batch done — Rawalpindi's underpass communities reached

Teams covered 14 underpass and roadside communities in Rawalpindi over three nights. 2,000 kits given out. We photographed the recipient communities and obtained a sign-off from the local Union Council representative as additional proof.
